Went there for brunch on a Saturday morning. The place is cute and cosy, employees were all super nice and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the french toast (pain perdu) which was an absolute delight. Also the datte and rose Latte was chef's kiss. Shakshouka was good and well executed but not as exciting as the pain perdu.

Delectable dishes, generous portions, and impeccable service. Our visit coincided with Montreal a Table, so we were able to experience several of their wonderful dishes for an incredibly reasonable price. First course was grilled halloumi cheese and their grilled eggplant zaaouluk dip served with homemade flatbread. For the second course, we ordered both tajines: royal quail and oyster mushroom. The oyster mushroom tajine was easily my favorite dish of the evening. It had roasted sesame seeds, almonds, and prunes. Normally, prunes are not high on the list of foods I enjoy, but they complemented the savoriness of the sauce and earthiness of the mushrooms perfectly. Third service was a couscous service with a lamb merguez and a vegetarian option. We chose both, because why not. While I think the dish could have used a little more salt, I appreciate the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The merguez flavors were very balanced. For the final service, we both chose the figs clafoutis. I think it would have been better warmed, but don’t think for a moment that I didn’t finish every bite. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Montreal again, Darna will definitely be on our list to revisit.

The food, service and atmosphere were all a 10/10. It’s such a cute setting, nice little vibe and music. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. And the food was just sooo good. Particularly enjoyed the mushroom tajine, the bread and the grilled halloumi. Oh also the carrot cake was cray. Would 100% go back!

Perfect spot for brunch! The food was delicious, but it was the atmosphere that really was my favorite part. We got the shakshuka and the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was delicious but a little rich when eating the whole thing. Overall, very wonderful experience!

One of my very favourite spots to eat in Montreal. I had the Merguez sausage plate with perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs (love the cardamom) and a mimosa my daughter had the Chicken Shawarma Salad and Date Cappuccino. Just delicious, clean, perfectly seasoned food all the time. Last year I was here for dinner and I still think about that meal it was sooo good. Hospitality is amazing and this time we sat on their charming patio. So glad we made it over. See you next time!

Loved their Lamb dish. I’ve asked to replace the chickpeas and couscous with Brussels sprout and extra butter. Certainly recommend and will repeat!

Very delicious brunch with many choices. Love the French toast. The food portion is good and not pricy. Highly recommended to come with friends.

A very cute, small restaurant with friendly servers who speak fluent English. The mushroom toasts were good, but I felt they lacked seasoning and had to ask for salt to enhance the flavor. I wish the chef had used more salt to bring out the umami. Otherwise, no complaints.
